The Sächsische Aufbaubank (SAB) has constructed a new office building with a public square area (forum) and underground parking in central location in Leipzig's city center.

The new complex with a footprint of approximately 96 x 96m is consisting of offices, a large public space, service areas and an underground carparking. It is located at the city centre of Leipzig close to the main station and is supposed to be the new headquarter of the ´Sächsischen Aufbaubank´.

A forest of 299 slender columns is used in order to create a recreational area at the citycentre. The building has five upper storeys with offices and a single and double storey podium level housing the entrance into the complex, an archive, a winery and a conference room. The fluid shape of the building encloses the public square with a L shaped format. Sustainability plays a key role in the design of the project.
