Compact two-court sports hall in timber-hybrid construction
Project
The City of Heidelberg is planning and constructing a new two-court sports hall at the Geschwister-Scholl-School in Heidelberg-Kirchheim, featuring changing rooms, equipment storage, and ancillary spaces. The circular timber-concrete hybrid structure has a footprint of approximately 33 m × 18 m and a clear height of at least 5.5 m. The roof structure, spanning 21 m, consists of glulam timber beams. In the entrance area, the roof cantilevers 3.5 m.
