Pioneering multifamily building in modular solid timber construction in East Africa
Project
Vizazi is an intergenerational housing project in Fumba Town, constructed from prefabricated cross-laminated timber (CLT) elements. The design combines flexibility, sustainability, and high-quality, affordable living space. Each building comprises four residential units, with every unit featuring a private entrance, rooftop terrace, and front and back gardens, ensuring a high degree of privacy. Recessed windows in the façade provide natural sun protection, while cross-ventilation in all units creates a comfortable indoor climate without the need for mechanical cooling systems.
