Sustainable urban development on the site of the former Mariendorf Freight Yard

Project

Between Berlin-Tempelhof and Steglitz, the Marienhöfe urban quarter is taking shape across an area of approximately 10 hectares – a new, mixed-use district that integrates residential spaces, commercial areas, social infrastructure, and open green spaces. Spread over a plot of around 100,000 m², 21 buildings are being constructed, all underpinned by a single-level underground car park. The project aims to create a vibrant and socially sustainable neighbourhood that meets both current and future needs. The buildings are designed to be flexible and adaptable, constructed using solid construction methods combined with partially prefabricated timber frame walls.
