Mixed-use timber-hybrid building for living, working, and sports
Project
The design for the new SRH Campus in Heidelberg was awarded first prize in a multiple commissioning process and subsequently selected for realization. The hybrid building, combining residential uses and sports facilities, represents the first component of the master plan for the SRH Campus Sports. It consists of two building volumes connected by a central atrium. The open building structure promotes communicative communal spaces and allows the boundaries between work, leisure, learning, and living to merge seamlessly. The atrium provides generous visual connections – extending up to the upper floors and down to the basement level with its integrated climbing wall.
