Canopy made of prefabricated wooden elements with translucent photovoltaic panels

Project

The Central Bus Station (ZOB) in Ludwigsburg is a major transportation hub for public transit within the city and the surrounding region. Due to increased accessibility requirements and the urgent need to renovate the roadway surface, fundamental structural measures are necessary at the ZOB. Within the interdisciplinary field of urban planning, structural design, and civil engineering, a site-specific canopy structure made of wood with translucent photovoltaic elements has been developed.
