Sustainable Restructuring and Expansion of the Fontvieille site in Monaco
Project
The harbor area of the new Fontvieille district in Monaco is set to be expanded and restructured. The design envisions a mixed cultural and commercial use across five distinctively colored floors. The ecological aspect is central to the project, promoting the development of a green corridor between the Rock and the Exotic Garden. The integration of greenery brings nature into the urban space, creating a new landscape extending to the sea. knippershelbig is responsible for the structural design of several complex special constructions—including innovative grid shell structures and undulating glass façades.
