Parasol structure with lamellas and ETFE cladding for a covered school courtyard
Project
As part of the renovation and expansion of the German-French School in Buc, several canopies were erected in the schoolyard. The parasols create a weather-protected outdoor space, while linking the buildings with each other and with the park. By incorporating the parasol structures into the atrium, a seamless transition between the exterior and interior space is achieved. The exterior parasols are clad in pretensioned ETFE membranes. Timber lamellas provides shading and creates lighting effects.
